Meu primeiro contato com o Evangelho - How I knew the Gospel

     Meu primeiro contato com o evangelho foi quando eu estava em Santa Maria, em um domingo qualquer que não lembro o numero mas era abril. Eu estava passando pela praça quando ouvi um som de violino que me chamou a atenção, olhei e vi uns 4 rapazes e umas 2 moças ao lado de uns quadros, mas segui em frente então olhei novamente e vi os quadros mas o que me chamou a atenção e fez eu parar foi :
" se você tivesse a oportunidade de fazer uma pergunta a Deus, qual seria? "
foi algo tão profundo que ao mesmo tempo que eu perguntei eu me perguntei isso. Naquela hora eu senti q ao invés que ficar perguntando eu não ia lá falar com eles. Fui lá, e conversei no máximo por 10 minutos com um rapaz o qual só lembrava depois que era alto,usava óculos e era da califórnia,mas depois lembrei seu nome Elder Roberts. ele me deu o livro de mórmon então voltei embora no domingo a noite. Na terça feira eu estava em casa assistindo TV quando encima da mesa eu vi o livro e então não dei bola mas ficou me chamando a atenção pois o azul do livro desviava meu olhar da TV, então decidi pegar e olhar, li umas 2 folhas ou mais do inicio mas não entendi muita coisa. Era quase meio dia quando decidi ir na "igreja mórmon", então sai de casa e fui procurar, era passado de 2 horas da tarde quando cheguei, os portões estavam abertos então entrei e parei na entrada em frente a um quadro que eu reconheci ter visto dois dias atrás na praça, olhei em volta e não vi ninguém então sai, voltei e entrei mais um pouco pra dentro, olhei os quadros e não vi ninguém novamente então só nada surgiu um rapaz que se apresentou como Elder Mathieu, entrou e chamou seu companheiro Elder De Souza, então tivemos nosso primeiro contato onde eu falei que havia visto em Santa Maria um elder também e ele me deu o "livro azul" e que decidi ir la.

 Apos isso tive nossas primeiras lições e foi muito legal. Algumas semanas depois o elder De Souza foi transferido, e o elder Mathieu também, então fiquei "sozinho" por algum tempo, na próxima lição quem estava la era Elder Soares (não gosto dele ate agora) e o Elder Welch, essa lição foi a pior que já tive e espero ninguém passar algo parecido, o Elder Welch era novinho,arrecem chegado na missão , ele era muito legal e incrível como amigo, já o elder soares, nunca vi tao fubeca e não sabia ensinar. mas então não falei mais com eles, fiquei por 3 domingos indo sozinho quando no quarto sábado estava eu em casa e ouvi palmas, pensei : Não é aqui, ta chovendo. Mas ouvi novamente palmas então decidi olhar e quando abri a janela,levei um susto : era o Elder Smith e o Elder Falcão.
Eles conversaram comigo e então voltei no domingo já acompanhado por eles. continuei as lições com eles e então no dia 17/06/2013 decidi que estava pronto para o batismo, apos 3 meses de lições e algumas provações, eu estava certo sobre o evangelho, já tinha meu pequeno testemunho sobre a verdade, então apos oração decedi que o elder smith me batizaria e o elder falcão me confirmaria e assim foi. No começo eu não conhecia os elders e agora eu conheço e sei o nome de cada um que fez parte do contato e ensino meu, são Elder Natividade, Elder Roberts, Elder Asbhar esses estavam em Santa Maria, aqui são os Elder Mathieu, Elder De Souza, Elder Falcão, Elder Smith, Elder Welch.
Já fazem mais de 1 ano que sou membro e não há nenhum arrependimento mas só agradecimento por ter conhecido o evangelho, pelos elder ter ido la em casa, por eles conversarem comigo. Eu sei que esta igreja é verdadeira, que sim nós temos um Deus amoroso e que o sacerdócio foi restaurado.

My first contact with the gospel was when I was in Santa Maria, on a Sunday and I do not remember the number but it was April. I was passing through the street when I heard a violin sound that caught my attention, I looked and saw a 4 boys and 2 girls one beside each frame, but I moved on then I looked again and saw the pictures but what caught my attention and made me stop was: 
"If you had the opportunity to ask a question to God, what would it be?" 
it was something so deep that when i asked i asked myself as well. At that time I felt that instead asking, why I wouldn't talk to them. I went there and talked for a maximum of 10 minutes with a guy who I only remembered later that he was tall, wore glasses and was in california, but i remembered his name was Elder Roberts. he gave me the Book of Mormon then turned away on Sunday night. On Tuesday I was at home watching TV ,on top of the table when I saw the book but i didn't gave attention though it was drawing attention as the blue book averted my gaze from the TV, so I decided to pick up and look, read one or two leaves more early but did not understand much. It was almost noon when I decided to go the "Mormon Church", then left home and went to look, it was past 2 pm when I arrived, the gates were open so I went and stood at the entrance in front of a picture I have recognized seen two days ago in the square, I looked around and saw no one then gets out, I went back and got a little more inside, looked at the pictures and saw no one, suddently came a guy who introduced himself as Elder Mathieu, entered and called his companion Elder De Souza, so we had our first contact where I said I had seen in Santa Maria one elder and he also gave me the "blue book" and I decided to go there. After this I had our first lessons and was very cool. Some weeks later the elder De Souza was transferred, and the elder Mathieu also, so I was "alone" for some time, who was in the next lesson it was Elder Soares (don't like him until now) and Elder Welch, this lesson was the worst and I hope no one ever had to pass something like that, Elder Welch was new, just arrived in the mission, he was very cool and amazing friend, as the elder Soares, never seen so fubeca and bad "teacher" . but then  i did not talk to them anymore, I was going alone for 3 Sundays when the fourth Saturday I was at home and heard applause, I thought: It's not here, it's raining. But again heard clapping so I decided to look and when I opened the window, I was surprised: it was Elder Smith and Elder Falcão. 
They talked to me and then went back on Sunday already accompanied by them. continued lessons with them and then on june,17 2013, I decided I was ready for baptism, after 3 months of lessons and a few trials, I was right about the gospel, had my little testimony about the truth, then after prayer deceded that elder smith would baptize me and elder falcão would comfirm me and it was so. At first I didn't know the elders and now I know and I know the name of everyone who was part of the contact and my teaching : Elder Natividade, Elder Roberts, Elder Asbhar these were in Santa Maria, here are Elder Mathieu, Elder De Souza, Elder Falcão, Elder Smith, Elder Welch. 
Already make more than 1 year I am a member and there is no repentance but only gratitude for having known the gospel,for elders have came to my home,for they've talked to me. I know this church is true, so we have a loving God and that the priesthood was restored.
